Brechin’s Messy Church celebrated its second birthday on April 8.

The first Messy Church, with a New Creation theme, took place in April, 2011.

Since then children have been able to enjoy a host of Messy Church events, including Joseph, Noah, Harvest, Christmas and even a special Olympics theme over the past two years.

Children who attend take part in a range of crafts, and during the Olympics Messy Church, a variety of games.

To mark their milestone, Messy Church organisers held a Wind and Fire event in the Gardner Memorial Church hall, where great fun was had by all, and there was even cake to help the celebrations along!

Messy Church is a joint project between Brechin Cathedral and Gardner Memorial Church. It aims to provide Christian teaching through crafts, singing, prayer, stories and finishing with family meal.
