Brechin’s Messy Church is celebrating its second anniversary this April.

The first ever Messy Church event took place in April 2011, where a New Creation theme first introduced the initiative.

It is a joint project between Brechin Cathedral, and Gardner Memorial Church.

Since its inception, it has proved to be a big success, with a variety of themes having emerged over the two years - including a special Olympics Theme last year.

To celebrate, organisers are holding a Wind and Fire themed event on Monday (April 8).

The event will take place in the Gardner Memorial Church Hall from 10.30 a.m., to 12.30 p.m., with crafts planned for the day.

Children attending must be accompanied by an adult, entry is by way of donation.
