You are spoiled for choice when it comes to music at the Webster Memorial Theatre in Arbroath this weekend.
First up on Friday, April 4 is Nathan Carter - now the biggest name in Irish country music.
This young man at the age of 23 has taken Ireland by storm and it is large crowds or full houses wherever he goes.
He is becoming a big favourite in Scotland and this show in Arbroath gives an opportunity to hear some of his great hits like ‘Wagon Wheel’, ‘One For The Road’ and ‘The Rainbow in Glenfarne’.
With Nathan being an expert accordion player you can expect a bit of a hooley as well. Also on the show is Lisa Stanley, the likeable presenter on the Phil Mack TV show. Lisa is the daughter of Ireland’s legendary Maisie McDaniels.
The music continues on Saturday with the musical spectacular which is ‘Beyond the Barricade.’
Back by overwhelming public demand and celebrating its 15th fantastic year with a sensational new show for 2014, the UK’s longest running musical theatre concert re-creates original West End/Broadway musical hit songs with amazing authenticity.
It features a cast of past principal performers from the West End production of Les Miserables, and the 25th anniversary concert at the O2 Arena.
The UK’s leading concert of its kind includes hits from ‘Miss Saigon’, ‘The Lion King’, ‘Phantom Of The Opera’, ‘West Side Story’, ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’, ‘Blood Brothers’, ‘The Jersey Boys’ and many more hit musical productions, climaxing with a spectacular finale from, of course, ‘Les Miserables’!
