Brechin’s musical siblings Matthew Crabb (13) and Lucy Crabb (10) have had great success once again at the Arbroath Music Festival.
Matthew was placed first in all the classes he entered, and Lucy won her age group class for the third consecutive year with one of the top marks of the week. This feat has never been achieved in the history of the under 12 brass solo class.
Matthew also won his age group class and then went on to win the Mozart/Haydn class, for the fourth year running, the Beethoven class and the advanced piano recital class.
He was also awarded the Tomala Piano Scholarship for the highest piano mark of the festival. Both were also awarded the Adjudicators prize.
Matthew is now getting ready for the Aberdeen Music Festival in June while Lucy has been involved with a recital for the University of Dundee lunchtime concert series.
