The AGM for the Angus Members’ Centre of the National Trust for Scotland (NTS) will take place on Thursday, October 1. It starts at 2.15pm in the Guide Hall, Myre Car Park, Forfar.
Connie Lovel, Assistant Director, North, Properties & Visitor Services, will give an update on the current state of the NTS properties in the north east. The meeting is open to everyone and non members would be very welcome.
The money raised by the Members’ Centre goes to projects both locally and nationally. Over the past year, amongst other things, the Members’ Centre has funded or contributed towards plant labels and other items at Arduaine, Branklyn and Malleny Gardens; a Children’s Activity Centre at Killiecrankie; the North Tower Project at Kellie Castle; enhancements to the fibreglass pigs at the entrance of Gladstone’s Land; and the Outreach programme and school visits at House of Dun.
For anyone wishing to know more about the NTS at a local level, details of the Angus Members’ Centre will be available at the meeting or by contacting 01674 676783.
