The former St Columba Church on Panmure Street could be given a new lease of life - with the building up for auction.
The A-listed building has lain empty for over 11 years, but buyers will have the chance to secure it at a property auction on February 9 in Edinburgh.
The premises have been described by Future Property Auctions, who are running the auction of the building, as “ideal for development,” outlining that it already has planning permission granted for change of use and alterations to form a pool hall and restaurant.
Angus Council granted the planning permission in 2013 - but there are conditions attached.
However, it is also recognised that the size of the building lends itself to residential accommodation - provided the necessary consents and permissions are sought after and met.
The guide price for the building is £69,000, with the rateable value at £9500, meaning it would qualify for 100 per cent rate relief.
The auction, in which the church is Lot 101d takes place on February 9 at 7.30pm atthe Edinburgh Marriott Hotel, Glasgow Road, Edinburgh.111 Glasgow Road, Edinburgh, EH12 8NF
