A Brechiner will be holding a thank you party on her 90th birthday - a special thank you to everyone who has helped her reach this ripe old age.
Anne Leslie will hold the party, on December 22, for all the social care workers, volunteers, medical staff, neighbours, family and friends who have helped her over the years.
Anne, who trained post-war as a nurse at Stracthro, returned to Brechin 15 years ago and now lives at Bridge House, River Street with her eldest son Peter.
The thank you party birthday celebration will take place between 2 pm and 5 pm on Thursday, December 22 at the recently refurbished St Andrew’s Church Hall.
There have been a number of enquiries regarding birthday presents and Anne would like to emphasise to her guests that the celebrations are a way of her thanking them - not for her to receive gifts.
Instead of birthday presents guests are invited to make a small donation towards the St Andrew’s Church building maintenance fund.
