Park life no more?

FIVE former temporary homes which have blighted what is an otherwise colourful entrance to Brechin’s public park look set to be disposed following a meeting of Angus Council’s corporate services committee.

The problem facing Angus Council, when faced with trying to get rid of the five former temporary homes in Park View on a number of previous occasions, has been the lack of interest shown in the properties.

However, there could be good news for the council, with offers for all five of the Brechin buildings being received, as well as another for a temporary property in Kirriemuir.

The director of corporate services, Colin McMahon, is recommending elected members accept unconditionally the open market bids.
