POLICE in Brechin are investigating the theft of clothing from a washing line.

Sometime between 3 pm on Saturday, June 30 and 10.30 am on Sunday, July 1, two pairs of jeans, a T-shirt and a cardigan were stolen from a rear garden in Bridge Street, Brechin.

Also, sometime between 1.30 pm on Saturday, July 7 and 4 pm on Sunday, July 8 a door was vandalised at a premises in Lindsay Lane, off Market Street, Brechin.

This is an outbuilding and used for storage.

Chairs had been left out at the location with a number of broken beer bottles suggesting that an impromptu party had taken place.

Police are appealing for witnesses or for anyone with any information to contact them at Brechin Police Office or by calling 0300 111 2222.

Sometime around 4 am on Monday, July 9 a rear ground floor door to Brechin High School was forced and access gained.

The alarm was activated. Four male youths were seen near the area at the time and are believed to have headed in the Mountskip direction.

Nothing appears to have been stolen at this time.

Police are again appealing for information.
