Police name pedestrian killed in A90 incident

Police Scotland has confirmed the identity of the pedestrian who died on A90 near Stracathro in the early hours of August 21.

Police received a report of a road traffic collision involving a pedestrian and a car on the A90 near Stracathro in the early hours of the morning.

Sadly, as a result of the collision Barry McRae, a 34-year-old from Stonehaven, died as a result of his injuries.

A Police spokesperson said: “The family of Mr McRae do not wish to say anything further to the media and have asked that their privacy be respected during this most difficult time.”
