Police urge residents to report annoying actions

Brechin police officers have been advised by local residents at various addresses throughout the town that in recent weeks they have had annoyance from people throwing stones and, on occasions fruit and eggs, at or near their property.

“This has resulted in at least two reports of vandalism,” explains a police spokesperson.

“But obviously such actions are both annoying when mess has to be cleared up, and criminal, if actual damage is caused.

“The police take these actions seriously and urge the public to contact them if witnessing any incidents at the time, even if it is anonymously.”
