The countdown is on to National Volunteer week (June 1 to June 7), the biggest week in the volunteering calendar.

There are hundreds of volunteers in Angus and volunteer week is a great opportunity to celebrate the contribution they are all making in our communities and encourage others to join them.

Angus Council’s communities team will be out and about during the week along with Voluntary Action Angus, sharing information about volunteering in our communities including joining Angus Citizens Panel or getting involved in tenant participation activities.

Volunteer Week is an excellent opportunity for local voluntary organisations to show the impact their organisation has made, a chance to meet and speak to others, recruit new volunteers and to promote the volunteering opportunities in Angus.

If you would like more information on how to get involved during the week just contact Sharon or Morag at Voluntary Action Angus at 01307 466113 / 01241 875525 or check out the website at www.voluntaryactionangus.org.uk

For more information about volunteering with Angus Council contact Rachel, Kevin or Claire in the communities team on 01307 474153.
