The Scottish Conservatives’ Westminster Parliamentary Candidate for Angus has been doing his bit for a Tayside children’s charity.
Derek Wann grew a beard for a month to raise funds for The ARCHIE Foundation, which is the official charity of Tayside Children’s Hospital in Dundee.
The charity also supports some other children’s hospitals in Scotland and has a long history of making big differences for local children.
From Christmas Day to Burns Night, The ARCHIE Foundations calls on men to grow a beard in support of local children when they are sick.
The bearded blokes can give or raise a minimum of £10 to take part.
Mr Wann said: “I agreed to enter the sponsorship of growing a beard from December 25 to January 25 in aid of ‘Beards for Bairns’ for the Archie Foundation at Ninewells.
“I have raised £ 195 in aid of this great charity.”
