Angus North and Mearns SNP Constituency Association met in Brechin recently.
Members discussed the busy summer activities where Yes Scotland stalls were run at galas, fetes and shows, when members had an opportunity to talk with members of the public and give out information which was welcomed. There had also been leafleting and canvassing in several towns.
Nigel Don, MSP, outlined the future Yes programme of events for the rest of this year and into 2014. It was agreed to hold two public meetings – one in Forfar and one in Stonehaven at which members of the public will be able to question representatives from the Yes campaign. However, at a more local level there will be lots of opportunities for people to have conversations about independence and what it will mean for them.
One year before the Referendum there will be a Yes rally on Saturday. September 21, in Edinburgh for anyone who wants to attend. The Association is running a bus to Colton Hill, Edinburgh. Seats and information are available from Bill Duff on 07870 639198.
