Primary pupils have chance to join new holiday club

Primary school children in the local area will be getting the chance to take part in morning fun and games as part of the Polar Explorers Holiday Club.

The club, which will run fro Tuesday, June 30, to Friday, July 3, is aimed at children currently in P1 to P6.

Based at Andover Primary School, the club’s session, which are held from 9 am to midday, will include games, crafts, cooking, drama, music and Bible stories based on four New Testament followers of Jesus.

Leaders of the Polar Explorer’s Holiday Club, Liz Howson and Wendy Don, are excited about the event and look forward to meeting all the young ‘explorers’.

A spokesperson for the club explained: “Children will be well supervised in a caring environment by volunteers. If the weather is fair part of each session will be spent outside. There is a 50p fee for registering and a daily charge of 50p to help towards costs.”

The event is supported by Brechin Churches Together. Further details and application forms will be given out to primary children shortly through local schools.

In the meantime if you require further information please call Liz Howson on 01674 810289.
