THE 2011 cute kids competition, run by the Brechin Advertiser in conjunction with local photographer Matthew Neve of Neve Photography, was a great success.
It was over a couple of weekends in May that Matthew opened his St. Ninian’s Place studio for the competition, with the entrants appearing in the pages of the Brechin Advertiser over a two-week period in mid-June.
The competition was run in three categories - youngsters aged up to two years, kids aged between two and four years and those aged between four and six years - with readers acting as judges.
After sifting through hundreds of voting slips, submitted by post and on-line, Matthew is now in a position to announce that the overall winner of the competition was Reece Lubbe.
Runner-up was Erin Lubbe, with Kaitlyn Ferguson in third place.
The prize for Reece is a framed 20x16 image of the winning picture, with the runner-up receiving a 15x12 picture and the third placed child a framed 10x7 picture.
In addition, the winners in each of the three categories will receive a free portrait session at Neve Photography, together with a free 10x8 print.
The category winners were as follows:- kids aged up to two years - Reece Lubbe; between two and four years - Erin Lubbe; between four and six years - Riley Hancox.
Matthew Neve will be contacting all the prize-winners directly, informing them of their success in what proved to be an extremely popular competition.
