His Majesty’s Theatre in Aberdeen is preparing to rock into the autumn season with a musical celebrating the sounds of Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison, Elvis Presley, Ricky Nelson and Eddie Cochran.

The Bill Kenwright production, ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll Heaven’, will start a week-long run at the city centre theatre on Monday, September 1.

The rock extravaganza will feature a non-stop parade of hits, including Del Shannon’s legendary recordings of ‘Runaway’, ‘Hats Off To Larry’, ‘Swiss Maid’, ‘So Long Baby’, ‘Keep Searchin’’ and many more million sellers.

Ricky Nelson, the only real contender for Elvis’ throne in America, will be represented by his all time greats like ‘Poor Little Fool’, ‘It’s Late’, ‘Fools Rush In’, ‘Hello Mary-Lou’, ‘Travelling Man’ and ‘Garden Party’.

Eddie Cochran’s pure and raunchy Rock ‘n’ Roll anthems include ‘Three Steps To Heaven’, ‘Something Else’, ‘Weekend’ and ‘Come On Everybody’.

As the hit song goes ‘If there’s a rock ‘n’ roll heaven then it’s sure to have one helluva band!’ and the production aims to prove it so!

Tickets for this must-see show are available now from www.aberdeenperformingarts.com, by phone at 01224 641122 and at Aberdeen Box Office at the Music Hall and His Majesty’s Theatre.
