Senior pupils from Lathallan School, near Johnshaven, handed over a cheque for £3,000 to the Teenage Cancer Trust.

The pupils used their senior ball in June this year to fund raise for the charity, and raised the cash from a raffle, heads and tail and balloon games for the 150 guests at the Hilton Treetops.

Teenage Cancer Trust vision is a future where young people’s lives don’t stop because they have cancer.

They make sure they’re treated as young people first, cancer patients second and everything the charity does aims to improve their quality of life and chances of survival.
