School Notes
BRECHIN High School notes for November 9:-
S4 Prelims
The S4 pupils are busy getting prepared for their prelim exams which start on Monday, November 13. Pupils have responded positively by turning up for Study Support sessions in large numbers. Parents are reminded that there is no study leave, and pupils will be attending normal classes when they are not taking examinations.
School Website
The school is delighted to announce that its website will soon be relaunched. A working group, supported by Angus Council IT staff have been developing a basic structure which will be expanded and extended as more information is added and links inserted to other sites. The contents will reflect the key features which parents nationally have found to be useful.
Nethybridge Outdoor Education Event
The group of senior pupils who attended the event at the Abernethy Trust Centre in Nethybridge had a fantastic time and are talking about going back! The feedback from the staff at the centre was extremely positive about the commitment and enthusiasm of the pupils and their exemplary behaviour. Dates are being considered for a repeat event next session.
German Exchange
The exchange pupils from Hille are planning to arrive in Brechin on the weekend of June 9 next year for a week-long visit. Having established very successful and enjoyable exchange visits in the last two years, the school is looking forward to receiving their guests. They will be asking parents to consider accepting an invitation to be hosts for the young German visitors.
Sub Sandwich Week
Where are all the budding Chefs? Anyone interested in creating a sandwich recipe should enter the school's competition in the canteen. Entry forms are available from the school canteen, and some great prizes are on offer.
