A team of seventeen, fearless, Scotmid staff from the north east, including Brechin, who completed a sponsored bungee jump, have raised more than £4,700 for Maggie’s Centres, Scotmid Co-operative’s charity of the year.

The team jumped from the 40 metre high River Garry Bridge in Killiecrankie, Perth and Kinross, in November last year.

Store Managers Claire Johnston, Fraser Rolley and Malcolm Whyte visited Maggie’s Dundee today to present their cheque and celebrate their fund-raising achievement.

The bungee jump is the latest in a number of high adrenalin challenges undertaken by Scotmid employees to raise funds for Maggie’s Centres, which have included a parachute jump, an abseil and fitness challenges. In the North east area, over £20,000 has been raised for the charity as part of the wider one-year partnership, which aims to raise £150,000.
