Brechin Police are appealing for witnesses to a number of incidents which have occurred in the Brechin area over the past week.

A window at a cottage near to Westmuir Farm, Brechin, was smashed and entry was gained at sometime between 10.15 am and 5.45 pm on Thursday, November 24.

Although nothing appears to have been stolen, police are still asking for anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area at the time to contact them on 0300 111 2222.

The police message is be vigilant in securing your property and call us at the time if you see anyone acting suspiciously.

A window was smashed at a ground floor flat on Montrose Street, Brechin at sometime around 2.45 pm on Saturday, November 26.

Two males, both blonde haired, one aged around 14 years wearing a black jacket, jeans and black trainers and the other, 17 years wearing a light coloured jersey, jeans and dark shoes, were seen running away from the area at the time.

Police would like anyone with any information to contact them on 0300 111 2222.

This week the police have an unclaimed Rottweiller dog (please contact the dog warden 01241 435600), a video camera and a V5 document.

This month, the police also have a purple bike, a blue bike and a child’s bike and several jackets from Hudsons (The Northern).
