Angus Primary Care Development team received recognition for their good practice when they were nominated for a Self Management Award,

The team was nominated for the award in the category of Self Management Supporting Health Board of the Year by members of the Angus Long Term Conditions Support Groups.

Janice Reid, Karen Fletcher, Fiona Waddell and Gwen Mackintosh from the development team attended the award ceremony at the Scottish Parliament.

Rhona Guild, Long Term Conditions Lead with Angus CHP, said: “Being nominated for this award by the public was a great boost to my small team of mainly administrative staff who do lots of ‘back room’ work supporting self management across Angus.

“Although we missed out on winning the category, it was lovely to receive recognition for the work that we do and to attend the reception where we heard inspirational stories from across the country.”
