The elder statesmen of the golfing world were showing they still have what it takes at The Senior Open last week.
A who’s who of golfers of the last 50 years took to the fairways and greens of Carnoustie for one of the highlights of the golfing calendar - names like Tom Watson, Miguel Ángel Jiménez, Colin Montgomerie and Jean van de Veld to name just a few.
But it was dark horse Paul Broadhurst who emerged victorious on Sunday, closing down Jiménez’s four shot lead and leaving the Spaniard in joint-third place.
American Scott McCarron, who at one point led the field by a single shot, finished second.
