Spring will definitely have sprung at the Forfar Farmers’ Market this Saturday (April 9) with the return of two seasonal stallholders.
Antonia from Myreside Organics will bring the first of her spring produce form her organic market garden, all freshly picked just in time for market day. She will have salad bags, leeks, kale, chard, spinach, beet and nutritious kale sprouts. She will also have some lettuce and sweet pea plants to sell.
Kelly Orr from Wardmill Farm outside Forfar has a wonderful fresh flower business called Blooming Bees. Kelly has an artistic touch and not only grows beautiful blooms but has ready-made displays to buy for an instant touch of spring sunshine.
Ken from Highland Drovers produces first class highland beef from his quality herd which is not only delicious but low in fat and cholesterol. At the Highland Drovers stall can be bought various steaks and cuts which are fully matured and each can be traced back to the herd and location.
In addition, chef Hayley will have her popular free kids’ cookery club a 11am and all will be indoors at the Strathmore Hall from 9am to 1pm.
