NHS Tayside is taking legal advice, after a group of travellers set up an unathorised encampent on their grounds.
On Monday, five caravans and several other vehicles were set up in grounds at Stracathro Hospital.
The site at the back of an overspill car park is situated opposite the surgical ward and next to the Susan Carnegie Centre.
An NHS Tayside spokesperson confirmed that the health board is taking “appropriate legal advice” to deal with the issue.
It is not the only encampment in the Angus area at the moment, with travellers in Forfar moving to a new site in the east end of the town having being evicted from a site at the west end.
That new site has impacted Forfar Farmington Football club, who had to reschedule matches at the weekend.
