The latest in the regular programme of free public talks at Signal Tower Museum, Arbroath is “Dear Wife, Dear Husband”.
The afternoon illustrated talk, by historian and Curator Daniel Paton, will be held on Friday, February 19, at 2pm.
The talk will be based on the correspondence between a Ferryden fisherman and his wife, while he was away at the herring fishing, in the first decade of the 20th Century, as recorded in an original collection of postcards. Daniel Paton is a historian and is also Curator of Montrose Air Station Heritage Centre. He is originally from Ferryden.
The talk will last approximately 45 minutes and there will be an opportunity to ask questions afterwards. Admission is free but booking is recommended, as spaces are limited. To book, please contact Museum staff, during the hours 10 am to 5pm, Tuesday to Saturday, on 01241 435329, ArbroathMuseum @ angusalive.scot or find us on Facebook – Angus Museums.
