This coming Friday and Saturday (March 18 and 19) the curtain rises on high drama that turns into a riotous farce at Edzell’s Inglis Hall.
Starting at 7.30pm on both nights, Edzell Drama Group will be performing ‘The Crying Dame’.
The Dame triggers such a crisis that a news reporter steps in to investigate a story with unexpected twists. It all starts as a back-stage row on real issues: is there a future for amateur dramatics? How to stage “live theatre” and pay its way?
Edzell’s actors and the back stage/front of house helpers are putting their hearts into it to win audience on comfy seats at Inglis Hall to enjoy their effort.
Tickets on sale at the Spar, Post Office, No63 and The Tweedie and on the door.
Club chairman Anne Newsome said: “We aim to entertain and invite more new members to join us. We promise surprise and loads of laughs.”
