The sunshine made a very welcome appearance in Brechin on Saturday as young and old alike turned out to enjoy the Easter celebrations.
From early in the forenoon the people of Brechin were tempted out by the lovely weather to join in the festivties with plenty for everyone to enjoy.
The vintage car parade attracted a crowd who were keen to view the exhibits. From classic cars to old army vehicles they created quite a spectacle.
In the City Hall there were stalls of homebaking, jewellery, arts and crafts amd face painting to tempt locals. Tea and coffee and hot cross buns were in plentiful supply and there were certainly many people happy to take time out to enjoy a cuppa.
Down in the High Street there was loads going on from old fashioned side stalls with hoop-la and knocking poor Humpty Dumpty off his perch to catching plastic ducks with a fishing net!
A tempting smell from the barbecue drew a crowd and a stall selling tickets for Punch and Judy later in the day was doing a brisk trade..In the Town House Museum a spectacularly colourful array of Easter Bonnets designed and made by local primary school children created a stunning picture.
As people stopped and chatted and enjoyed the Spring sunshine organisers on the day said they were delighted with how things were going and all in all they reckoned it was a very successful Easter in the City.
