85-year-old injured in Brechin accident

Officers in Brechin want to trace the driver of a small black car that collided with an elderly man in Brechin’s Clerk Street on Tuesday, November 8, as well as speaking with any witnesses to the incident.

The 85-year-old suffered a cracked rib and a broken hand as a result of the incident, which happened at about 6.55 pm at the exit from Tesco filling station.

The woman driver stopped to check if the pedestrian was okay, but it was only later when he was admitted to Brechin Infirmary that the man discovered he was more seriously injured than first thought.

Officers would ask for the woman who was driving the car to come forward and for anyone who can assist enquiries to call 0300 111 2222.
