Angus Council has outlined a number of changes to the local bus services in the county, coming in to affect from Monday, June 1.
Service 21, which travels between Edzell, Brechin, Forfar and Dundee will no longer use the unclassified roads past Stracathro Primary School due to difficulties experienced travelling along these narrow roads. As a result, Services 21 and 21A will therefore run via the A90 and Brechin/B966 junction in both directions. There are no changes to the timetable.
Services 30, 30A and 30B, which travels between Arbroath, Montrose, Brechin, Stracathro Hospital and Edzell, has seen changed to operators. Service 30 Monday to Friday journeys are now operated by either Stagecoach Strathtay, MW Nicoll or Teejay Travel; Saturday journeys remain unchanged. Most Service 30 Sunday journeys are now operated by Teejay Travel.
Some journeys are the subject of timing revisions - passengers are therefore advised to check the timetable before travelling.
The Brechin town service, the number 34 bus, will now be operated by Wishart (Friockheim) Limited on Saturday journeys.
The 140 and 141 services, which runs through Stracathro Hospital, Brechin, Friockheim and Arbroath has had changes to some journeys shown in the summary of all bus services between Arbroath, Brechin and Stracathro Hospital. Departure stance information for services leaving from Arbroath Bus Station has been updated.
