Transport Scotland will be undertaking a programme of essential resurfacing works on the A90 at Bridge of Muchalls. The works start at Hillhead of Cowie and continue northbound thorough the Bridge of Muchalls bends for a distance of approximately 2km.
The works package, which represents a £175,000 investment in the Trunk Road network by Transport Scotland, includes strengthening and resurfacing of the carriageway.
The main resurfacing works will commence on Monday, March 11 and completed on Thursday, March 14. The works will take place between 7.30 p.m. and 6.30 a.m. each night. Traffic Management will consist of lane closures with a convoy system in place. This is to ensure safety of the workforce and members of the public.
Andy Thompson, North East Operating Company Representative with BEAR Scotland said: “These works are being carried out overnight to minimise delays to motorists. We would however, encourage motorists to plan their journeys in advance where possible.”
These works will be undertaken by Breedon Aggregates Ltd and Euromark Ltd on behalf of BEAR Scotland and have been planned in consultation with Aberdeenshire Council and Grampian Police.
