Vacancies on community council

Have your say

Inveresk community council will be meeting a week earlier than timetabled, on Monday, June 6 at 7.30 pm at Inchbare Hall.

The community council currently still has a few vacancies which they would like to fill.

Community council chairman Duncan Smedley said: “We currently have about three vacancies that we would like to fill, which would bring us up to full capacity.

“We would be particularly keen to have people join us from Careston or Menmuir as we have no representation from those areas.

“Of course, if there are people who would like to join from other areas within the Inveresk catchment area then we would be more than happy for them to come along.”

The purpose of community councils is to ascertain, co-ordinate and express the views of the community it represents to local authorities and other pubic bodies.

All meetings of the community council are open to the public.

If you would like to join the community council then pop along to the meeting on Monday.

The community council meets on the second Monday of the month at 7.30 pm, although there are no meetings in April and July.

Dates of meetings for the remainder of the year are as follows:- August 8, The Retreat, Glen Esk; September 12, Menmuir; October 10, Glen Lethnot; November 14, Inglis Memorial Hall, Edzell; December 12, Inglis Memorial Hall.
