The Bridge of Dun has been affected by flooding as The River South Esk continues to rise as a result of the heavy and persistent rainfall since Saturday.
The river was expected to peak this afternoon.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) said: “The rainfall will continue to affect this area throughout Monday.
“At this time river levels are predicted to be similar to those experienced in 2002, which will not be as high as the recent event on 30 December 30.
“Low lying properties will be affected by flood water.
“High tide at Montrose is around 10:30pm on Monday night and 11am on Tuesday.”
