The Glenesk Retreat welcomed a fleet of vintage tractors on Sunday, September 28, with around 40 vehicles descending on it.
The tractors were part of a group of like-minded individuals who travelled a route from Edzell, Caterthuns, Lethnot, Glenesk, The Retreat and back to Glenesk. The event raised £400 for Macmillan Nurses at Stracathro.
Although no serious mechanical mishaps on the journey, two tractors suffered punctures. One, a Fordson Major, was able to reach the Retreat while the other, which had a burst tyre, had to be collected.
They stayed for about an hour and a half before leaving, some returning to their homes up the glen, and the rest heading towards Edzell, some to be loaded on to lorries or vans and taken to Fife and beyond.
Many of the tractors are also used at ploughing matches; some are in showroom condition having been restored, others have never had a thing done to them in their lives.
