Walkathon man comes to Brechin

Have your say

The Salvation Army Corp. in Brechin will play host to a very special visitor on Thursday, June 21.

Andy Peddle, who recently turned 70, has set out to visit all of the 645 Salvation Army Corps. in the UK, covering a staggering 7,900 miles.

Andy, who is from High Wycombe did a similar event 20 years ago for Oxfam. He is expected to arrive at the Brechin Corp., on Southesk Terrace, at approximately 3.30pm.

Once there, he will perform a rendition of “You’ll Never Walk Alone”.

Andy, who will be dressed in his trademark top hat and tails, is aiming to raise funds for the Anti Human Trafficking programme, which the Salvation Army are administering nationally.

The challenge, which started in Shetland on May 16, will culminate in London in October 2013.
