Weather set to stay dry for Queen’s Baton

Meteorologists from the Met Office are forecasting a mostly dry and sunny day as the Glasgow 2014 XX Commonwealth Games Queen’s Baton Relay arrives in Angus on Saturday.

Saturday should be a mainly dry day with sunny spells but a chilly wind means temperatures are only likely to reach around 14°C.

Met Office Chief Meteorologist Frank Saunders said: “It should be quite a good day for anyone taking part in, or watching the baton’s progress, with occasional sunshine although there is the chance of an odd light shower and it will feel cool with temperatures remaining in the low to mid teens.”
