Brechin Churches Together is set to mark World Day of Prayer with a special service in Edzell Church Hall.
Every year on the first Friday in March, Christians around the world of all ages gather in small groups and large congregations using the same basic form of worship, written by women of a different country each year on a theme chosen by the World Day of Prayer International Committee.
The women of the Bahamas are the authors of this year’s service. The theme comes from John 13:1-17 where Jesus washed the feet of the disciples, and then said: “Do you know what I have done to you?”
The theme centres around this phrase. The need to be prepared and to serve one another is universal in life and should be a theme of the Christian faith.
Brechin Churches Together invite you to Edzell Church Hall, 7 p.m., on Friday, March 6, for their World Day of Prayer Service.
