A yoga tutor with eight years’ experience of teaching is hoping to bring a holistic approach to health and wellbeing with new classes in Brechin.

Linda Moodie, who has recently moved to the town, has been practicing yoga for over 18 years, and has been a Yoga Scotland Registered tutor since 2007.

She is launching classes for beginners at the Mechanics Institute. Discussing the benefits of the practice, Linda explained: “Yoga is suitable for all ages and abilities. There is an old saying “as long as you can breathe, you can do yoga” and breathing is something we all do naturally throughout our entire lives.

“In the first instance, most people come along to yoga to find a way to relax and release the stresses of their day. However, they quickly begin to realise there is much more to yoga than this.

“The many benefits of yoga include promoting good health, combatting stress, increasing flexibility and strength, improving posture and respiration.”
