Youths helped back into work

Around 25 people attended an event aimed at 16 to 24-year-olds who are hoping to get back into employment or to improve and develop their range of transferable skills.

The Brechin Youth Event at Glebe Park highlighted the range of employability Services on offer to residents of Brechin.

The event was opened by Derek Harper of BRAVO Brechin and featured a range of exhibitors, including DWP, Angus Council’s Towards Employment Team, Skills Development Scotland, Angus College and local employers including Journeycall.

Youngsters had the chance to meet local employers and get help and advice on a range of topics, such as job vacancies, CV preparation, learning opportunities and mental health wellbeing.

It was organised by Angus Council’s Towards Employment Team in partnership with DWP and Penumbr.
