MEMBERS of the management committee at Brechin City FC remind supporters that the much-talked-about photo competition has now entered it’s final month.
Speaking on behalf of the club, committee man Grant Hood said: “The closing date for this fun competition has already been extended through to August 31, this being in direct response to requests from supporters who were heading off on their summer holidays.
“With only a few weeks now to go, we’re anticipating something of a late surge in entries.
“For those with a leaning towards Brechin City, the prize on offer is certainly novel enough to fall into the ‘money-can’t-buy’ category.
“We’re looking forward to viewing all the entries, and delivering the good news to one lucky winner!”
As a reminder, the challenge is to submit a photograph of a Brechin City top taken in the most unusual and creative location one could think of.
Grant added: “It would be unfair on those who have already submitted entries to give anything away about the level of creativity at this stage, so let’s throw the challenge back out there to the City supporters.”
Photos should be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org
The competition is being run in partnership with Brechin Castle Garden Centre.
The prize-winner’s day will be built around a City home game early in the new season.
It kicks-off with lunch for four at The Restaurant in Brechin Castle Garden Centre, along with a presentation of vouchers from the hosts, and passes to the popular 1983 Hospitality Lounge.
Complimentary transport will get the winning party to Glebe Park where they will watch the game from the directors’ box.
The prize-winner will have selected a primary-school aged child to take on the role of match-day mascot, and lead the teams on to the pitch.
With a selection of Brechin City goodies, souvenirs and photographs to add to the day, it promises to be a memorable occasion for the prize-winner.
