Brechin City have confirmed a trio of pre-season friendlies so far, all of which will be taking place at Glebe Park, writes Scott Binnie.

They kick off the games when they host Scottish League Cup winners Aberdeen on Wednesday, June 25, with a 7.45 p.m. kick-off.

It’s an Angus derby on Saturday, July 5, when they play host to Montrose, kick-off 2 p.m., before they host SPFL Championship winners Dundee on Wednesday, July 16, with a 7.45 p.m. kick-off.

Formartine United have also announced the signing of former Brechin defender Graham Hay.

Montrose have confirmed the release of full back Craig Duguid, who had joined the Gable Endies in January from Aberdeen.

The defender could be off to the Highland League with Cove Rangers said to be among those chasing his signature.

Season tickets for the 2014/15 season have gone on sale at Gayfield Park for Arbroath’s return to the bottom tier of Scottish football.

Tickets are priced at £180 for adults, £90 for senior citizens, £60 for juvenile under-16s/student concessions and £30 for under 12s.

They are available at Gayfield on weekday mornings between 9.30 a.m. and 1 p.m.

The Red Lichties have also confirmed a pre-season friendly with Derek McInnes’ Aberdeen side, set for Saturday, June 28, with a 3 p.m. kick-off.

Forfar Athletic manager Dick Campbell confirmed the resigning of a number of key players for the upcoming League One season, with Darren Dods, Omar Kader and Gavin Malin all agreeing new deals.

Leaving Station Park are Iain and Ross Campbell, the former moving on to Championship side Cowdenbeath.

Also on the way out is Dick’s assistant and brother Iain, who has stepped back to focus on his work commitments.
