Fixture release day brought the news the Angus clubs were all waiting for - who they start the season against and where they finish it, writes Scott Binnie.
They also discovered the dates of the crunch derby games as Forfar Athletic and Brechin City will contest four fixtures in League One, while Arbroath and Montrose will meet four times in League Two.
Brechin City start away to fancied title favourites Dunfermline Athletic at East End Park.
They then face games with Stenhousemuir, Stranraer and League Two champions Peterhead. Their end of season run-in includes home games with Stirling Albion and Dunfermline before a trip to Stenhousemuir, with Ray McKinnon’s side finishing up at home to Stranraer.
City’s derbies with the Loons are at Station Park on September 27 and January 3, and at Glebe Park on November 15 and March 21.
Forfar themselves begin with the lengthy trip to Stranraer’s Stair Park before hosting Dunfermline Athletic. They then visit Ayr United at Somerset Park before two home games, with relegated Greenock Morton and promoted Peterhead.
At the other end of the season they face Peterhead and Dunfermline away before they finish with a home game against Ayr.
Montrose get their League Two campaign under way at home to East Stirlingshire. They then visit Clyde at Broadwood Stadium before hosting Annan Athletic.
The Gable Endies meet the Red Lichties at Gayfield Park on September 30 and January 1 while they host Arbroath at Links Park on October 10 and March 7.
George Shields’ side finish with a pair of home games with Elgin City before they visit last year’s second-placed outfit Annan Athletic.
Newly-relegated and currently managerless Arbroath open the season at Berwick Rangers before they host Albion Rovers.
A visit to Queen’s Park leads them in to the first meeting with Montrose. The Red Lichties will play their last three games against the same teams as their first trio of fixtures, hosting Queen’s Park before they visit Albion Rovers at Cliftonhill. Their last game of the 2014/15 season is at home to Berwick Rangers.
