Brechin City fans are being urged to show their love for the club on Valentine’s Day - with the chance of a reward in return.

The club are planning to mark the special date, which will see Ray McKinnon side host Greenock Morton, with a few treats for younger fans and female fans.

Vice-chairman Martin Smith explained: “To celebrate the fact that Saturday is Valentine’s Day, youngsters attending the game will receive a special packet of love heart sweets, while our female supporters will be treated to a Valentine’s Day chocolate.

“For the men, there’s the prospect of a top of the table clash between two of the league’s form teams.”

City are unbeaten in their last 11 leagues, while Morton used the winter transfer window to help strengthen their full-time squad - making them strong contenders to be crowned League One champions this season.

Martin added: “It promises to be a good day all round, so why not show your love for your local favourites and come along to support them at the Glebe on Saturday.”
