Brechin Under-13s secure 10-0 win

Brechin City Youths 10

Broughty Panthers 0

History was made on Sunday when Brechin Under-13s played host to Broughty Panthers in their first official 11-a-side match.

The game got under way with Brechin in total control with some fine football played that would not look out of place at Old Trafford.

Brechin opened the scoring with Dominic Naglik tucking home a rebound after great link-up play between Sangster and Goodwin.

Just before half-time two quick goals by Goodwin and Sangster made the half time team talk a little easier for the management.

Half-time: Brechin 3, Broughty 0.

The second half carried on the same way with Brechin doing all the attacking. Further goals by Naglik, a Sangster penalty, two from Sawyer and two from Fowlie, and a own goal making the full time score 10 -0.

Manager Murdo Anderson said afterwards: “Full credit to all 15 players that played in the correct manner and stuck there task in hand.

“Special mention to the big home support which encouraged the boys all the way through the game.”

Brechin: Souter, Harrison, Goodwin, Fowlie, Naglik, T. Stuart, Phillips, Halliday, Craig, Black, M. Stuart, Stewart, Hamilton, Sangster, Sawyer and Walker.
