With the public park unplayable due to the weather, Brechin City Under-14s held their home game against their Dundee opponents in Edzell.
The match produced the boys best display of the season. The home team dominated from start to finish with some excellent goals to show for their efforts.
Despite creating numerous chances, it took Brechin 20 minutes to open the scoring when Renilson shot over the ‘keeper from wide on the right.
The second follow seven minutes later when Renilson got on the end of a Sawyer pass.
Half-time: Brechin City 2, D.U.S.C 0.
Straight from the kick off it was three with Rogerson passing to Sawyer whose well placed shot from the edge of the box sailed past the ‘keeper.
After 50 minutes, D.U.S.C pulled a goal back from a corner but two minutes later it was Rogerson’s turn to get in on the act to make it four.
He doubled his account four minutes later, getting on the end of a Steele cross.
It was Steele himself who ended the scoring on 59 minutes - beating the ‘keeper to a Crosby through ball but unfortunately injuring himself in the process.
Brechin continued to push for more goals but ended up comfortable 6-1 winners.
A club spokesperson said: “This was undoubtedly the best performance of the season with every single member of the squad playing their part.”
