Brechin City secured a comfortable 3-0 victory at home to East Fife today (Saturday) in the only League One fixture.

Two first half goals put Brechin in control of the match, with East Fife failing to give themselves a clear cut chance in the opening 45 minutes.

Bobby Barr netted the first goal for City in the 27th minute before Andy Jackson double the lead in the 41st minute.

Robert Thomson increased City’s lead in the 62nd minute, when he lobbed the ball over East Fife’s keeper from the left wing to net a goal on his home debut.

Again East Fife failed to do little than test Smith in the City goal. On the rare occasions the City ‘keeper didn’t deny them, the visitors couldn’t keep their shots on target.
