The MANAGEMENT Committee at Brechin City FC this week announced that the winner of their photography competition was local lady Kay Hutcheon.
The photography competition, which was open throughout the summer, encouraged fans to submit unusual photographs taken anywhere in the world – the only proviso being that it had to feature a City strip.
Speaking on behalf of the Management Committee, Grant Hood said: “Kay’s entry captured exactly the spirit and creativity the club was hoping to create. Featuring two Cloistral Nuns from the Monastery of St Ursula, Valletta in Malta proudly displaying a City top, made sure it was certainly an eye-catching entry and ultimately a worthy winner.”
“The winning choice was not a unanimous decision, with entries featuring diverse locations such as Jordan, Dubai and Perth in Western Australia all grabbing a place on the final shortlist,” continued Grant.
“The Club would like to formally thank our good friends at Brechin Castle Garden Centre for choosing to co-sponsor the competition.”
Kay’s prize consists of a Brechin City Family VIP Day for a forthcoming fixture. This will see her guest party start their day with lunch at Brechin Castle Garden Centre, followed by Glebe Park VIP treatment all the way with hospitality, goodie-bags and vouchers.
On receiving news of her winning entry Kay said: “I’m delighted, absolutely delighted,” adding that she already has a mascot lined up to lead the teams out on match day as part of her prize.
