Brechin City’s defender, Ewan Moyes, is set to go on loan to Cover Rangers to gain match fitness.

The decision to put the centre back out on loan comes after manager Ray McKinnon secured the signing of Garry Kenneth.

The defender has previously played for Dundee United and Bristol Rovers, and has even made two appearances for Scotland.

Speaking to the club’s website about Moyes’ loan move, Mr McKinnon said: “We have arranged for Moysie to go on loan to Cove Rangers to get games under his belt. We have sufficient cover in defence to give Ewan this opportunity to regain the fitness he requires to help us when he returns in a month ready for the vital run in to the end of the season.”
