An ex-City youth player will continue his rise through the ranks when he turns out for the Scotland U17s squad later this month.
Harry Souttar, 16, has been named in the national squad for the UEFA European U17 Championship Finals to be held in Bulgaria in May.
Scotland will play France in their opening match before facing Greece and Russia, with the top two in the group progressing to the quarter-finals of the 16-team competition.
The final top six teams will then compete in the 2015 World Cup later in the year.
The ex-Mearns Academy pupil played for Luthermuir Primary School, Brechin City Youths and Celtic U11s-U14s before joining Dundee United in 2012.
In June 2014 Harry signed a three year, full time contract and regularly features in the Dundee United U20’s Development League fixtures.
The youngster made his Scotland U17s debut earlier this year on February 24 at Rugby Park, Kilmarnock, playing the full match where Scotland defeated Romania 2-1.
Harry was then part of the U17s Scotland squad who travelled to Hungary to compete in the UEFA U17s Elite Round and successfully earned their place in the finals.
It’s just getting better and better for the young star.
