There was good news for Brechin City this week with the announcement that one of the team’s key players is to stay with the club.
Manager Ray McKinnon said he was delighted to report that he has secured the services of top striker, Andy Jackson for a further season.
He said this gave the Club a major boost coming only days after Alan Trouten also committed himself to the Club.
Jackson started his footballing career at St Johnstone and joined Brechin City from Morton in the summer of 2011. He has just returned from injury.
Ray McKinnon said “It would be fair to say that there has been a lot of interest in Andy, and so there should be, as he is a good striker.
“ We are delighted with what he has done here and we are delighted that he going to be staying for longer.
“I am sure that keeping Andy and Alan shows everyone the desire of this Club to do a lot better next season.
Jackson has had 35 appearances for the club this past season and scored a total of 13 goals and received three yellow cards in the process.
